1-day Matobo National Park
Take a day trip to Matobo National Park from Bulawayo. The park is known for the Matobo Hills, a range of rock formations created by erosion of the surrounding granite plateaus. Inside the park, see Stone Age rock art and visit the grave of Cecil Rhodes. You’ll also track rhino with your guides on foot.
Day 1
You are picked up from your respective lodges and hotels and drive to Matobo National Park Visit Rhodes Grave, World View go Rhino Walking, see the Bushman Cave Paintings and other animals in the National Park. The park is known for the Matobo Hills a range of rock formations created by erosion of the surrounding granite plateaus. Inside the park see Stone Age rock art and visit the grave of Cecil Rhodes. You will also track rhino with your guides on foot. The Matopos National Park contain some of the most majestic scenery in the world. The landscape has been sculpted out of millions of years of weathering resulting in great “Whaleback” Domes and castle-like formations. It is a place of ancestral spiritual significance and has served as both a shrine and refuge through the centuries. After the trip clients will be dropped off to their respective lodge and hotels in the late afternoon after sunset.
